Ausgrid Civil Construction Panel

The Ausgrid Civil Construction Services Panel comprises of a small number of ASP1 accredited contractors, who undertake works as the principal contractor for Ausgrid. Vaughan Civil was been awarded a 6 year contract with Ausgrid in recognition of our demonstrated capabilities in successfully completing ASP1 works in NSW. Main scopes include design, HV and LV cable installation, overhead electrical works and substation works.

Client requirements

Program — Maintaining a demanding schedule is of utmost importance to Ausgrid. Each civil works package requires a tailored approach, specific to scope and project deliverables. Local environment, community stakeholder involvement and disruption to local businesses are major considerations that impact each phase of work on each project. Calling on our experience delivering similar work in highly concentrated urban and CBD locations, Vaughan Civil devise plans based on our self-performing methodologies, that allows our project managers to accurately undertake schedule and staging management processes, driving successful outcomes for all stakeholders.

Traffic management and staging — As principal contractor, Vaughan Civil engages all subcontractors, including our traffic control partners. Our team achieve strong results in balancing these requirements and are able to keep up the pace of a demanding delivery schedule in some of the most congested roads in NSW.

Minimising impact to the community — Conducting large scale infrastructure work in the centre of Australia’s largest city presents an enormous challenge in minimising impacts on the local and transient (worker) community, and local businesses. Our dedicated Community Liaison team focuses on building relationships with the local community, understanding and addressing their needs and providing a consistent point of contact. Our experience in delivering high profile projects has provided us with the knowledge to develop and implement strategies to achieve stakeholder requirements and ultimately bring the community along on the journey of the project.
