WestConnex is a 33-kilometer predominantly underground motorway scheme in Sydney, The M4-M5 Link Project is the final and most critical component of WestConnex and Vaughan Civil were awarded multiple contracts across both Stage 1 and Stage 2, in addition to civil works for the M5 basin.
Scope of works include:
- 21,000m3 of Bulk earthworks
- 120m x 90m biofiltration basin (500mm of filter material, 100mm of transition material, 450mm drainage layer)
- Stormwater Relocation up to DN1500 and FRP
- Installation of GPT (gross pollutant trap) precast concrete pit (approx. 40tn)
- DN1500 headwall installation inkling rip rap projection
- Penetration of existing stormwater shaft (Ø3600) to allow for the connection of new DN1500 stormwater pipe, Concrete stitch works complete after DN1500 connection to stormwater shaft (Ø3600)
- 87 Concrete Pits, 250m Kerb and Gutter, 450m2 Footpath construction
- 1.8km of ITS Backbone
- 150 piles and pile caps for streetlights, 150 street lights installed and commissioning
- Services route including: 6km of water services, 3km of electrical conduit/cable, 800m of fire water and 1.4km of sewer
