As part of the Prospect to Macarthur (ProMac) project, Vaughan Civil carried out the construction a new water pumping station in Harrington Park, to provide drinking water services for 84,000 new homes in the Southwest Growth Area and Western Sydney Aerotropolis Growth Area. This pump station helped bolster the water transfer link from Prospect South Water Distribution System (WDS) to Macarthur WDS, it is required to transfer up to 100 ML/day of drinking water between the systems.
The project site was adjacent to a residential community which relied on our team to effectively liaise with Downer to engage with local stakeholders and residents to advise of upcoming works and noise controls and to ensure effective traffic management plans to mitigate traffic congestion caused by site works.
Scope of works included:
