The Design and Construction (D&C) of 28km of pipeline and construction of 3 water pumping stations, as part of a water security program for Mount Morgan, near Rockhampton QLD. The development will future-proof the supply of long-term quality drinking water for Mount Morgan and surrounding areas.
Scope of works includes:
The pipeline package has been sized at DN250 to supply 2.25 ML per day (31.3 L/s over 20 hours) which was identified as part of the Mount Morgan Demand Assessment. Provision for future offtakes has been provided for the Gracemere North Reservoir and Mount Morgan areas. The Project’s servicing strategy is that potable water is conveyed from an existing reservoir located in Lucas Street, Gracemere which has one existing 3.75 ML reservoir.
The new pump station has a target flow of 31.3 L/s and with an additional 8.25 ML reservoir required within the existing Lucas Street reservoir site.
In close collaboration with the client and our specialist consultants, the design of the pipeline bedding, flanged connections, trenchless installations and the ancillary works is being finalised to ensure all requirements are met.
